I don't think anyone ever accused Karl Lagerfeld of being nice. Season after season, he delivers spellbinding fashion shows that leave us saluting his creativity. It also leaves us wondering who his celebrity favorites will be the next time round. For his pre-fall '15 shows in Salzburg and New York, Cara Delevingne and Pharrell Williams were his flavors of the season. Fast forward to yesterday's Paris couture show, and they are nowhere to be seen. Not even in the audience, having been replaced by his new besties.

Day 3 of Paris couture was dominated by Chanel, who kicked off the day in a typically Lagerfeldian, ostentatious manner. Not content with a celebrity packed front row audience, Karl recruited an array of famous friends to participate in the show. Julianne Moore, Rita Ora, Lara Sotne, Lily Collins and Kristen Stewart among others, all sat around the gambling table yesterday morning, while the models presented the latest Chanel Couture collection.

This season's offerings focused on 3D tailoring of the jacket and skirt synonymous with the house of Chanel. Light as air, they looked as if they are created from the fabric of the future. Evening wear was a delicious confection of sharp lines, tulle and feather.

The cherry on top, was Kendall Jenner's arrival, modeling a double breasted, white satin wedding “trouser suit" with a trailing tull hem. Perhaps a nod to the recently approved US gay marriage laws…
