The Trends You Need to Know About from Day 2 of Paris Couture
Day 2 of Paris Couture Week brought us collections as diverse as Chanel and Alexandre Vauthier. It would be really interesting to know what they thought of each others collections!
Clare Waight Keller’s highly anticipated first couture collection for Givenchy was certainly a winner. Then there was Armani, George Chakra and Alexis Marilee who may not make too much noise in the press, but certainly make a killing where orders are concerned. Their quite couture means good sales for real women with unreal shopping budgets.
Some trends of course continued on from Day 1, to check them out click here.
Feathers are still in, they adorn a hefty number of looks at couture. From trimming to full on sleeves and skirts. There was movement in the feathers, which allowed them to sway like fringes but in a dreamier way.
As soon as stripes were out for ready-to-wear they showed up again at couture. This unlikely concept for evening wear seems to be trailblazing through a number of collections making them a trend to be reckoned with.
For anyone that missed the memo, or the hundreds of black and white looks on the runway, we are here to tell you that monochrome is a very strong trend for Spring, which is unusual. The sombre combo is actually better suited to Fall…
Well it is a Spring collection so no surprises here really.we did see a large number of dresses with more than one shade of pastel, giving it an almost tie dye effect. Is this a hot trend, not really but we needed to mention it.
