Perhaps originally famed for being the daughter of the Ruler of Fujairah, this designer has succeeded in establishing herself as a promising name in the world of fashion, as well as raising the benchmark for Middle Eastern design…

Sheikha Madiyah's collection was all about merging 60s elegance and femininity with today's modern style. Consistency in her design aesthetic, was boldly seen with her choice of fresh cool colors that ran through out her collection. Think sorbet shades of pink, green and blue.. reminding us of a taste so classy and graceful. Her intricate craftsmanship and attention to detail, makes one crave to become the proud owner of at least one of her heavenly creations.. The catwalk was a liberated, free universe with models fluttering like butterflies The 30 piece collection definitely deserved to be showcased in the largest, most coveted hall, 'HALL 1', of FFWD.

The impressive turnout, not a seat left empty, all gathered to witness this graceful and timeless collection, we couldn't help but notice how the exhibited garments felt so relaxed, it makes a woman think of loosening her corset and just unwinding. Combining paper thin silk, with romantic french lace, guaranteed slimming effect was the result.

Going forward, we believe Sheikha Madiyah will be labeled 'The Intelligent Designer', as opposed to 'The Royal Descendant'….
