Proenza Schouler Dazzles On The Runway || But Will It Dazzle On The Red Carpet?
If you get to choose a single show to watch at New York fashion week, I would highly recommend the Proenza Schouler show. Season after season the duo behind PS, Jack Mccullough and Lazaro Hernandez curate a collection of clothing that is more art than fashion and this season was no different.
Always focusing on cultural inferences from across the world, this season brought us almost forgotten Parisian couture atelier techniques, Masai prints and Japanese folding techniques. Their ability to bring all these factors into one collection is what singles Proenza Schouler out as masters of the runway. Perfectly styled for the catwalk their shows are a feast for the senses. This Spring 2017 collection incorporated more color than we are used to, cutouts and striped Sonia Rykiel style knit dresses.
