Kenzo Wows With Bold Prints At Paris Fashion Week
Kenzo presented a bold, energetic collection for its Paris Fashion Week show on Tuesday night (8Mar16).
In the show notes, designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim said their muse was a globe-trotting fashion lover, a concept reflected in the collection through references to the Victorian era and nods to Japan and classic Kenzo prints.
The fist outfits down the runway featured navy and grey tailored duffle coats with sailor uniform details. Next, was a long navy Victorian nightshirt dress with an oversized ruffle collar, smocked bodice and empire waist which was layered over a white shirt with ruffled sleeves.
There was also a purple faux fur jacket with a tiger print collar and matching cropped pants.
On the more conservative side, there was a fitted denim jacket emblazoned with “Kenzo”, while in direct contrast a hot pink tiger print duffle with huge shoulders and tasselled toggles screamed party.
On another catwalk, Virgil Abloh reworked wardrobe basics with architectural flair for his Off-White show.
