How To Slim Down Fast Before A Big Event!

So you wanna look like a million bucks before this event, or even a holiday, then you realise you are short on time.. You will start planning the perfect food/ diet /exercise plan.. Food that is raw and clean, a diet so harsh that sounds unrealistic, or vigorous exercise that will only leave you with an injury or soreness that you will regret.. Although you've made plans to lose weight leading up to your event, though, you conveniently throw them out the window, and a few days before, you realise it's crunch time. Tune in for CIIN’s quick tricks to de-puff, de-bloat and tone-up, get red carpet–ready without depriving your body.

1 || Get Salty…

The night before, take an Epsom salt bath. Add 12 pounds of Epsom salt in hot bathwater, soak for 20 minutes, wash off in cold water, go to bed, and wake up leaner! We suggest a bit of moisturising post-bath, however, so your skin doesn't scale from the dehydration.

2 || Go For Cucumbers…

Add cucumber to your water to promote weight loss. Cucumber contains anti-inflammatory properties and is also a diuretic. Good bye, bloat!

3 || Get Moving…

This may not be a quick fix, but just an hour a day of working out is key for getting event-ready. Do one hour of cardio daily, six days a week—alternate static heart cardio with dynamic interval pattern cardio every other day. And, of course, drink one litre of water while exercising.

4 || Skip The Fizz…

Drink still water, not sparkling.. Ditch sodas as well..

5 || Stop Dairy And Alcohol…

Do not eat bread, dairy, or drink alcohol 12 days prior to the event, and no starch at night! Eat fish and vegetables only at dinner..

6 || Be Prepared…

You've heard of putting Preparation H under your eyes to tighten bags.. Try using small amounts of Preparation H under your eyes, back of legs, and under your chin two nights before and the night before an event to help tighten skin.

7 || Cut Out Gas-Producing Vegetables…

Like broccoli and cauliflower, and corn to reduce the dreaded ballooning.

8 || Reduce Red Meat And Chicken Consumption…

People who have a harder time digesting red meat and chicken should avoid eating them during this time. White fish, on the other hand, seems to be well tolerated and easy to digest.
