All You Need To Know About The Ralph & Russo Couture Show

Ralph & Russo are not permanent members of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture yet, but that doesn’t seem to have dampened the enthusiasm of their hefty customer base. Clients flock from all over the world to create the perfect bridal trousseau from this young label. Their fashion shows are studded with socialites, royalty and aristocrats. This season saw a few celebrities as well namely Jourdan Dunn, Adriana Lima and Lil’ Kim but Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo are focused on business not just glamour. They have in the process joined Marissa Mayer and Mark Zuckerberg on Fortune magazine’s prestigous 40 under 40.

The fact that they are focused on dressing clients makes them perhaps less focused on a specific theme, just fabulous dresses and that’s what they did. Providing their dreamy customers with anything that they could be attracted to. In the market for an Elie Saab style nude dress, got it. Love the colors at Valli, no problem. In the mood for some statuesque Carolina Herrera, look no further.

There was however an underlying rich floral garden theme. Deep jewel-toned full length floral masterpieces with flowing trains and capes created the core of the collection. Appliqué tone-on-tone florals also played a strong role. There was lace, embroidery, frills and capes, all that a socialite’s heart could possibly desire. And with the addition of milliners to their already long roster of items produced including shoes and handbags, Ralph & Russo have created a perfect one-stop-shop for the world’s rich and famous.
